You need to manually install the support update to use your Loupedeck device with Ableton Live 11.
Note, that this update patch is still in beta-phase.
! Always backup your customized Loupedeck profiles before installation process.
Make sure you have updated your Loupedeck software to 4.3.
Unzip and place the “Loupedeck”- named folder into this location on your computer:
C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 11 version*\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts
* Suite, Standard, Trial etc.
! The Program Data folder might be hidden from view.
Navigate to Ableton Live 11 in your applications folder. Right-click and select “Show package contents”. Then navigate to: /Contents/App-Resources/MIDI Remote Scripts/
Do note, that this folder should override a previous Loupedeck Folder, if there is one. Also, be sure to put the folder in the Ableton Live 11 files, not Ableton Live 10.
After placing the folder in the location mentioned above:
- Open Ableton Live 11 and go to preferences. Make sure that Loupedeck has been chosen as the control surface. If you do not see Loupedeck as an option, reboot your computer and do this step again.
- Voilà! Your Ableton - plugin update should be ready for use.
Because this update is still in beta-phase, some users might experience bugs. If you come across a bug or if you are finding it difficult to use Loupedeck with Ableton Live, please let us know by emailing our Ableton Beta update support.
You might see a “winerror 10035” flash on the bottom text bar, but that should not affect the usability of the plugin.
If you host both Ableton Live 10 and Ableton Live 11 on the same computer, some of the commands might prompt open the Ableton version not currently in use.
